Project Focus: Magical Leprechaun Footprints
Integrated Subject: Saint Patrick’s Day
Art production: Students will trace their shoes on a piece of paper. They will fill the shoe outline with various crayon colors. Then they will paint over the entire paper with green and white paint. This creates a resist drawing.
Art Criticism: Students will be evaluated on their use of colors, materials, and on their overall effort.
Art Aesthetics: The students will discuss their thoughts on their paintings.
Category: WatercolorGrade level: 2 – 5
Project Focus: Watercolor Butterflies
Integrated Subjects: Science
Art production: Student will draw two butterflies and demonstrate the wet on wet technique on one and the wet on dry technique on the other.
Art Criticism: Students will be evaluated on their use of the watercolors, how well they followed directions, and by their overall effort.
Art Aesthetics: Students will discuss which technique they liked the best and why. Also, they will have a discussion on which one gave them more control.

Project Focus: Sunsets

Art production: Students will create either a landscape or ocean scene by using oil crayons, stencils and watercolors, after which they will show and explain their work.

Art Aesthetics: Students will discuss their finished works and give their reactions to them
