Summer vacation can be a very expensive time for parents so that the trips and events. I'm always trying to come up with ideas and things for parents to do with the children that involve minimal costs, make the most and this is important also to create a feeling of rest and relaxation.
A visit to the Library
Libraries are wonderful places to vacation – full of lots of books to read as well as some summer activities – I remember as a child who has a plethora of activities, including the talent competition. Even if there is a talent contest at your local library, I'm sure there will be some craft activities and possibly the rare artist!
Build a garden fairy
I am fortunate to live in the aptly named "Fairytale Cottage". This summer I have taken the time to build a world of wonderful fairy outside the back door. Children and their friends will love building their own fairy / garden Pixie. Be imaginative with branches and stones to build houses for their young friends. Children have fun with fairy doors, pathways, and mini fairy rings ponds. If you find a low-cost models of miniature fairies and small furniture dollhouse, all this will add to the magic. Do not forget a liberal sprinkling brightness.
This activity will be most enjoyed by children under 6 years. Boys however, is likely to prefer to build a dinosaur nest with volcanoes or error and garden insects. Planting and maintenance of a miniature garden teaches kids about plants, caring for living things, and most of all the fun of gardening.
Water Games
When it gets too hot and children need to cool down, why not try this wonderful game of refrigeration? Fill your pool with water or if water is scarce in your area, a bucket of water is sufficient. Put some ice cubes and get children to pick them up with your fingers. This is very funny and very refreshing and you need not worry about losing water, which can be used to water the flowers later. If no water pistols, you can fill bottles with water to wet Squeezy lot of fun. Note: this is not the most peaceful and relaxing exercises!
Refreshments and Treats
If you live near the camp, children love the evening pick strawberries. Here's a simple recipe for a berry smoothie that kids love to help with. Fill blender with 2 cups ice cubes, 2 cups milk, 2 cups strawberries, a spoon or two of honey and a dash of vanilla extract. Blend until smooth. Delicious and very refreshing!
If you are looking into alternative sugar-filled sweets, you can try simply freeze strawberries, grapes and bananas (cut bananas into pieces first).
Scrap Book
Children of all ages in general, love to do things. You may like to encourage them to make a scrapbook summer / daily, where you can write and draw on the summer holidays. The scrap books can be an ongoing project and went out every few days to add new entries and stick in memories of summer.
Relax Magic Kids Corner
If your children have a few spare moments and would like to do something relaxing, they are always welcome to visit the magical corner where children are games, color sheets and even a fairy godmother page problem!

What better way to end a busy day of mediation, parents can read to their children:
Relax on the beach …
Close your eyes, very quiet and think you are lying down on the beach. Feel the warm sand underneath your body. You can hear the waves. Now is carefully will relax every part of your body.
