What is affordable to do my own steps for a walk?
I want to make several steps with my children a form of aid to walk in my yard forward. The kits in craft stores do not do many, I do atleast 8-10.
This is great fun and I did with my children and grandchildren. Use pans for your forms (pots, pans, bread, etc) … I pick them up at garage sales and thrift stores. Em grease with Vaseline and fill them with QuikCrete (mixed according to the instructions on the bag). Decorate with colored stones, glass, tiles … whatever. For hand / footprints simply wait til QuikCrete to have some stiffness it and press in the hands / feet. Let them dry at least 24 hours, then turn out of pans. To "cure", another 24 to 48 hours …. then line of your gateway. I have also experimented with the use of color and crushed chalk dust Kool Aid … let your imagination. Have fun and create memories.
