Need fun,educational,creative winter craft proj. that can be given as a gift to kids age 4-10, please read on?
Ok. I am boycotting all the uneducational gifts given each year for birthdays and Christmas in my family. There are many kids, and since I will be a teacher soon- buying video games does not feel right anymore.
My last creative project was a gardening theme. I put together buckets with matching shovels, gloves and watering cans with a wide variety of seeds for each child plant, and a gardening themed picture book to make the gifts complete.
I am planing for Christmas, and I am coming up with nothing! Help! I want some kind of hands-on educational craft project for the kids, and of course, I will find a children’s book to accompany the concept of the overall gift.
We live in Las Vegas, so anything in the snow is not the best idea. We have Mt. Charleston, but it’s an hour drive, and not many of the parents have vehicles that could make the trip up in the snow.

What about a mixing bowl, measuring cup, measuring spoons and a simple cookbook with the ingredients to make something in the cookbook. If your flush, an apron would be a fun addition. You can do this to fit the various ages.
