How is the weather in Block Island RI during May.planning to go there during the long wkend. We have kids.?
The kids are 4 and 8. Can we do a day trip or should it be a stay over? We live within drivable distance. What hotels and activities would you recommend. Not pricy please. Would the water be warm enough to swim.
It may be warm enough to swim, but I wouldn’t really count on it. The hotter weather often doesn’t start until mid-June. A day trip should be fine and you may luck out that the weather will be hot enough, it’s just not always reliable at that time of year. I have a cousin who has three kids (11, 7 and 4) and they go there for day trips pretty often and have a great time.
