More specifically, I need to go to Glen Head, NY this Saturday, and will have some free time. Is there anything around there fun to do?
(I’m late twenties, no kids, not into partying – so think museums, aquariums, live entertainment, light physcial activity, that kinda thing)

Glen Head is in Nassau County, well east of the Throgs Neck Bridge. The Gold Coast area is nearby, with all the beautiful mansions. Teddy Roosevelt’s home, Sagamore Hill is nearby, so are countless horse farms. Old Westbury Gardens, the historic Phipps estate is nearby and is open 10 am to 5 pm. The town of Oyster Bay isn’t far and has a great walkable downtown. Roslyn also has a amazing historic district. LI University, CW Post College and NY Tech are also close and Post has the Tillis Center for Performing Arts on campus. There is shopping at Manhasset’s Miracle Mile.
